The total site is concreted to a depth of 150mm specially reinforced to allow the largest of today’s transporters to load and unload in minimal times, ensuring customer service is maintained at optimum levels of efficiency.
The site is complemented by a single span warehouse, covering 4500 sq.m. and an office block built in the style of the traditional Queenslander.
The facility has the capacity of storing more than 6000m3 of timber product and in excess of 1000m3 of board products.
Simmonds mainstream business from this facility centres on the wholesale supply of structural radiata framing - sawn and dressed merbau - and a wide range of joinery products, such as surian and processed radiata profiles. The Company is also the largest importer in Queensland of a range of decking products, such as merbau - belian - brushbox and selangan batu.
